Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American writer, singer and actor most famous for her role as Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first show she performed in for her first stage appearance. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions before making it huge in the national theater space with Li'l Abner' in 1957. She released her album It's too late for Tina the in the same year. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was as Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. During this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood and Broadway, playing somber characters in order to dispel her image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the past few years has earned a reputation as a director on several famous TV shows, including Supernatural. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto at the age of three. She spent her childhood there as well as her adolescence. Following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and is a resident of Vancouver ever for the last ten years.
